Using high-tech coating processes with wear-resistant materials, our knives are optimized to the maximum for a subsequent use. The complex work steps are carried out by linear systems or robots so that we can ensure and guarantee consistently high quality. Essentially, three proven and established coating processes are used, which we will briefly introduce.
This process relies on self-fluxing alloys which are sprayed on and then melted down. As a coating material we use a nickel alloy with a high tungsten carbide content of up to 40%. This process is mainly used for knives and blades with thin walls and coating thicknesses around 0.3 mm.
In this coating process, a plasma arc melts the surface of the component. At the same time, molten metal powder is introduced. This creates a metallurgical bond between the component and the coating, with the coating material being the main component of the weld pool. This process can be used to produce particularly thick coatings.
In this process, the weld pool for coating is generated through a laser beam. The coating material is sprayed directly into the weld pool through nozzles, which creates a special, bead-shaped coating on the base material.
