Stalk roller knives: About the technology

Coating

Specially coated stalk roller knives complete the product range group. Well established high-tech processes are used for coating, which are adapted to the respective load and the corresponding wear behavior of the knives. For example, laser additive welding, PTA and thermal spraying are used as coating processes.

Surface

Depending on the purpose of use and the harvesting machine, different surfaces are advantageous. The stalk roller blade range is offered oiled or powder coated. The surface sealings ensure the best possible preservation or protection of the stalk roller blade surfaces. Longer storages of the stalk roller knives are possible without any loss of quality.

Materials

We consistently rely on the use of the highest quality steels. We use wear-resistant chrome steels as the base material for our stalk roller knives. These modern, tough steel materials have proven themselves for years and show maximum load bearing capacity, abrasion resistances and service lifes.

Heat treatment

Depending on the machine type and application, the stalkroller knives are martensitically, bainitically or inductively hardened. The knives are both zone hardened as well as completely through hardened. This makes the knives the high-performance cutting tools required for harvesting technologies.
